Vice President
As Vice President of UEA Lacrosse, I helped manage the practical operation of a multi-team sports club. The work extended well beyond sporting activity and required coordination of people, schedules, fixtures, transport, committee responsibilities and changing availability throughout the academic year.
Being re-elected for a second consecutive year allowed me to build on the processes established during my first term, take greater ownership of recurring operational challenges and contribute to longer-term club organisation.
- Coordinated training, team and match-day schedules.
- Supported fixture and transport planning.
- Managed changing player availability and scheduling conflicts.
- Communicated updates across multiple teams and committee members.
- Delegated tasks and followed up on actions.
- Worked with university staff and external stakeholders.
- Balanced club responsibilities alongside academic deadlines.
National-level experience
As University Lacrosse Officer, I gained experience beyond one club, communicating across university lacrosse communities and contributing to the organisation and development of the sport at a wider level.
The role strengthened my ability to consider different stakeholder requirements, communicate across organisations and approach issues from a broader strategic perspective.
Transferable value
These roles developed practical skills that transfer directly into professional environments: operations, scheduling, project coordination, administration, stakeholder management, delegation, decision-making, communication and problem-solving under changing constraints.
